Today, the Group is a strong, cutting-edge international entity with a well-structured presence across three key continents. This expansion is the result of steady growth and a forward-thinking vision, always driven by a passion for the instrument and an unwavering commitment to absolute quality of production.
The Group’s production, and logistics, structure is organized into three strategic hubs:
- Italy, Piasco – The heart of Salvi Harps’ production, where every instrument is brought to life by the expertise of over 100 highly skilled artisans. In this small town in the province of Cuneo, the art of fine craftsmanship blends with innovation to create wide range of high-quality instruments dedicated to harpist of all ages and artistic requirements.
- USA, Chicago – The historic home of Lyon & Healy, where world-renowned harps have been manufactured for over 160 years. Soundboards, mechanical actions, and every construction detail take shape in this facility, preserving a tradition of craftsmanship that has been passed down for generations.
- PRC Asia, Wuxi – A strategic hub that has played a crucial role in serving the vast and dynamic Southeast Asian market for over 20 years. In addition to overseeing the distribution of Salvi and Lyon & Healy models in the region, this facility contributes to the production of certain models dedicated to the Chinese internal market as well as specific components exclusively for the Lyon & Healy student models. These components are then shipped to the Chicago facility, where the full harp-making process takes place—from selecting the finest American and Canadian woods to the final assembly. For this reason, these models proudly bear the “Made in USA” label, as all essential production stages occur in Chicago, maintaining the quality and craftsmanship that define the brand.
It is important to emphasize one key point: all Salvi harps are entirely made in Italy, and all Lyon & Healy harps are produced in the United States. The presence of an international structure does not mean outsourcing; rather, it reflects a modern, efficient, and well-organized approach to production and logistics. It is common for global companies to optimize their resources on an international scale, ensuring efficiency while upholding the highest standards of quality.
