Elizabeth Hainen, Principal Harpist of The Philadelphia Orchestra since 1994, has appeared as concerto soloist and recitalist throughout the United States, Europe and Japan.  Having graced the stages of Carnegie Hall, Chicago Symphony Hall and the J. F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, as well as the Marlboro Festival, Ms. Hainen has won international acclaim as one of today’s foremost harpists.  She is joined in recital by string quartet with members of The Philadelphia Orchestra.

Described by Spanish harpist Nicanor Zabaleta as a “harpist of great talent…whose trills are unlike those of any other harpist in the world,” Mexican harpist Ángel Padilla Crespo joins us in the midst of his accomplished career.  As a concert artist, Mr. Padilla Crespo has performed recitals and concerti throughout the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe and Latin America.  Joining him in recital is Mexican soprano Lourdes Ambriz.  Having a prestigious career with the Mexican National Opera, Ms. Ambriz has performed on both the American and European stages, including the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra and the Prague Opera Orchestra.

Audiences are captivated by the dynamic expressive performances of the Debussy Trio, specializing in 20th and 21st century music.  Celebrating their 20th Anniversary, harpist Marcia Dickstein, flutist Angela Wiegand and violist David Walther together have performed nationwide tours in 37 states, as well as countless community outreach programs.  Internationally, they have appeared at Festivals in Copenhagen, Geneva and Prague and have been recognized by Gramophone Magazine of London.

Known equally as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral performer, Anna Verkholantseva has established herself as one of the most accomplished harpists worldwide.  A consistent prizewinner at international competitions, Ms. Verkholantseva currently serves as the Principal Harpist of the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra.  Alexander Trostiansky, solo violinist of the Moscow Philharmonic Society joins her in recital.  Together, they have played to critical acclaim in London’s Covent Garden, Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall, Chicago Symphony Hall and San Francisco’s Herbst Theatre.

Recognized as one of the world’s leading harp virtuosos, Judy Loman graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music, where she studied with the celebrated harpist, Carlos Salzedo.  Having served as the Principal Harpist of the Toronto Symphony for 42 years, she currently holds the Maryjane Mayhew Barton Chair in Harp Studies at the Curtis Institute.  As a soloist, Ms. Loman has received the admiration of audiences and critics alike across Canada, the United States, Europe and Japan.
