Maria Krushevskaya, harp

Solo harpist of the Bolshoi Ballet Orchestra in Moscow and winner of the 7th USA International Harp Competition, Maria Krushevskaya has charmed audiences as a recitalist and concerto soloist throughout Russia, Europe and the United States. She has been featured at Carnegie Hall’s Zankel Hall, Lyon & Healy Hall, the Big Hall of Russia, the Gargiles International Harp Festival in France and the International Harp Academy ‘Harp Masters’ in Switzerland. Ms. Krushevskaya makes her London debut in a solo recital.

As the First Prize winner of the 8th USA International Harp Competition, French harpist Agnès Clément, opens the 2011-2012 Series with a special Gala performance. Most recently, Ms. Clément was featured as a soloist at the 11th World Harp Congress in Vancouver. She is joined in recital by Andrey Baranov, a Laureate of the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis. Together they will make their Lyon & Healy Hall debuts.

The 2011 Lyon & Healy Awards Winners join together in this special Lyon & Healy Hall debut performance. Alexandra Katelyn Mullins currently serves as the harpist of the Charlotte Youth Symphony Orchestra. Elizabeth White Clark was recently named the winner of the Young Professional Division of the American Harp Society National Competition and will serve as the AHS Concert Artist over the next two years. Sarah Davis has held the Principle Harp position at the City Ballet Orchestra and is currently a substitute harpist for the San Diego Symphony. Samuel Karlinski was recently featured in the 11th World Harp Congress’ Focus on Youth program and currently studies at the Juilliard School of Music. They will each be featured as soloists for this performance.

Marie-Pierre Langlamet, Principle Harpist of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra since 1993, returns to Lyon & Healy Hall in a duet recital with Canadian violinist Lara St. John. Ms. Langlamet has been featured across the globe as a soloist, orchestral musician and recording artist. Ms. St. John, a Juno Award winner, has performed as a soloist with many orchestras throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia and Australia and has recorded eight acclaimed albums. Ms. St. John will make her Lyon & Healy Hall debut.

French harpist Agnès Clément returns to the Lyon & Healy Concert Series for her debut solo recital in Paris. Winner of the 8th USA International Harp Competition and finalist in numerous other international competitions, she has been featured throughout France, the United States, Canada and Europe. Currently a student at the Superior Music Conservatoire, she studies with Fabrice Pierre, Park Stickney and Sylvain Blassel.
